Haryana Pre Medical Test is conducted by Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak for admission of MBBS/BDS/BAMS courses in private and Government medical and dental colleges affiliated to Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak.

Ø Haryana PMT 2012 Schedule: Haryana PMT 2012 will be held in 1st week of May 2012.

Ø Haryana PMT 2012 Eligibility

1. For MBBS/BDS Courses:-

o The candidates should not be more than 17 years of age.

o The candidates must have passed in Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) of Board of School Education, Haryana or any examination recognized Board.

o The candidates must have secured not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together and must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually in qualifying examination.

2. For BAMS Course:-

Ø The candidates need to have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) of Board of School Education, Haryana or any examination recognized Board.

Ø The qualifying examination must be passed by the candidates with 50% marks in aggregate English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and at least 33% marks in each subject.

Ø The candidates, who are not residing in Haryana, may also apply for admission to BAMS Course under 15 % quota of seats.

Age:- He / She will attain the age of 17 years or more on 31-12-2012.

Haryana PMT 2012 Pattern:

Ø Duration:- Three hours

Ø Medium:- English

Ø Total Questions:- 180 objective type, The test carries a maximum of 720 marks.

Ø The questions in the paper are based on:
Physics
Chemistry
Botany
Zoology

Ø There is a provision of negative marking, that is, one-fourth is deducted of the candidates for each wrong answer.

Haryana PMT 2012 Syllabus:

Ø Haryana PMT Physics Syllabus: Oscillations & Waves, Communication System, Behaviour of Perfect gas & Kinetic theory, Electronics Devices, Physical World and Measurement, Electrostatics, Kinematics, Magnetic Effects of Currents and Magnetisim, Laws of Motion, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Current, Work, Energy and Power, Electromagnetic Waves, Gravitation, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation’s, Properties of Bulk Matter, etc.

Ø Haryana PMT Chemistry Syllabus: States of Matter : Gases and Liquids, Some basic Concepts, The Solid State, General Principles & process of Isolation of Element, Chemistry in Everyday Life, P-Block Element, Chemical Kinetics, Bimolecular, Polymers, Haloalkanes and haloarenes, Alcohols Phenols and Ethers, Aldeydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids, Organic Compounds containing nitrogen, Electro Chemistry, Solutions, Organic Chemistry- some basic principles and Techniques.

Ø Biology (Botany & Zoology): Biology and Human Welfare, Ecology and Environment, Reproduction in Organism, Genetics & Evolution, Diversity in Living World, Structural Organisation in Plants and Animals, Cell Structure and Function, Plant Physiology, Basic Chemical Constituents of Living Being, Human Physiology.
