Two-day Job Mela From March 14 at Faridabad

The district administration and the Labour and Employment Department will organise a two-day job mela from March 14 to provide eligible youths an opportunity to face interviews and get on-the-spot placements in private firms.

Sunita Yadav, Faridabad’s Employment Officer, said representatives of 70 local-based private firms would take part in the mela. The department’s target was to enable about 1,500 youths to get jobs in skilled and unskilled categories. Haryana Minister for Labour and Employment Shivcharan Lal Sharma would be the chief guest at the mela to be held in the NIT-based ITI.

Yadav further said youths besides those whose names had already been registered with the local employment office, could also participate in the event and avail job opportunities as per their qualifications. All ITIs of the state have also been informed of the development, she added.
