NOTICE FOR ADMISSION: 2012-13

Sainik School Kunjpura invites applications for admission to Class VI & Class IX through All India Sainik Schools Entrance Exam: 2012-13 Sessions. Details are given below.

Aim : To prepare boys academically, mentally and physically for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA) Khadakwasla, Pune.

Curriculum: 10+2 Science Stream of CBSE, New Delhi

AGE/ELIGIBILITY :

(a) For class VI - Boys born between 02 Jul 2001 and 01 Jul 2002 (both days inclusive).

(b) For class IX - Boys born between 02 Jul 1998 and 01 Jul 1999 (both days inclusive).

Date of Examination & Centre : On 08 Jan 2012 (Sunday) at Delhi, Rohtak & Kunjpura

Scholarship: By State Governments and Ministry of Defence on merit cum means basis (details given in the prospectus)

Tentative Seats: Approximately 80 for VI and 13 for class IX.

Reservation of Seats: Sainik School Kunjpura mainly caters for the boys of Haryana and Delhi States. Certain numbers of seats are thrown open to the boys of other States and UTs. 25% seats are reserved for Defence Personnel (including ex-servicemen), 15% for Scheduled Castes and 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes and remaining seats for General Category.

How to obtain Prospectus : The prospectus cum application form for admission in Sainik School Kunjpura may be obtained from the Principal Sainik School Kunjpura, Karnal (Haryana)-132 023 w.e.f. 15 Oct 2011 to 03 Dec 2011on all working days between 1000-1300 hrs by paying cash Rs. 400/- for General and Defence categories and Rs.250/- for SC and ST categories. The prospectus may also be obtained by post by sending an application on plain paper by mentioning address and category along with a DD of Rs. 440/- for General and Defence categories and Rs.290/- for SC and ST categories, drawn in favour of Principal, Sainik School Kunjpura, payable at SBI Kunjpura (Code No.2400). The prospectus can be downloaded from school’s website www.sskunjpura.org duly filled application form can be submitted by post or in person alongwith a DD in favour of Principal Sainik School Kunjpura, payable at SBI Kunjpura (Code No 2400) of Rs 400/- (for General and Defence categories) and Rs 250/- (for SC and ST categories) Other documents are to be submitted as mentioned in prospectus.

Submission of Application Forms: Duly completed application to reach Principal, Sainik School Kunjpura, Karnal (Haryana)-132023 by 1400 hrs on 10 Dec 2011 positively. Application will not be received after due date through any means. Incomplete application will be summarily rejected and no communication to this effect will be made to the parent. The School will not be responsible for rejection of the application on account of postal delay, if any (including postal/courier services).

NOTE

1. Most of the courier services do not deliver courier at Sainik School Kunjpura being 7 kms away from Karnal city. It is advisable to send the filled application through Govt Postal Service.
